The company
shotdata.io is a Swiss golf analytics platform. Golfers bring the numbers from whatever launch monitor they own, from a Garmin R10 in the garage to a Trackman on the range, and get dispersion plots, trends and AI session reports in one place.
I joined as the founding engineer: one codebase, from the first commit to production on AWS.

What I did
- Architected and built a production SaaS platform for golf analytics using a full-stack TypeScript architecture.
- Developed a React 19 + TypeScript SPA with Material-UI, Vite, and modular feature architecture.
- Built a Node.js / Express / TSOA REST API with OpenAPI documentation and AWS Cognito authentication.
- Implemented ingestion pipelines supporting 10+ golf launch monitors (Garmin R10, Trackman, FlightScope, Uneekor, etc.).
- Designed event-driven processing pipelines using Amazon SQS to decouple ingestion and analytics services.
- Provisioned and maintained AWS infrastructure using Terraform (App Runner, S3, CloudFront, Cognito, SQS, Route53, ECR).
- Built analytics dashboards using Plotly.js for shot dispersion and performance tracking.
- Implemented CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with automated deployments and linting workflows.

What I did
- Built SaaS platforms using TypeScript, Node.js, and React supporting real-time registration and event workflows.
- Co-developed swisstranscribe.ch, an enterprise AI transcription platform with TypeScript backend and React frontends.
- Designed REST APIs and relational data models supporting registration workflows, billing, pricing, and automation.
- Delivered 6+ custom Directus extensions (PDF generation, CSV exports, email automation, validation pipelines) reducing manual work by 90%.
- Implemented CI/CD pipelines and testing workflows across a 7-package TypeScript monorepo.
- Built responsive React interfaces using Material-UI, Vite, and modular component architecture.
- Automated billing systems, availability management, and email notification services.
- Orchestrated cloud infrastructure using Terraform (ECR, App Runner, S3, CloudFront, Route53, EC2) with containerized deployments via Docker.

The company
Zoocha is an award-winning UK Drupal agency, founded in 2009, with offices in the UK, Spain and Brazil. It is an approved UK Government supplier (G-Cloud, DOS) and builds for clients such as the Financial Conduct Authority, Ofsted, VisitBritain, the Greater London Authority and NHS trusts.
That meant government-scale sites, enterprise pipelines and a lot of open source.

Founded on 26 September 1926, it turns 100 this year. Behind the sirens runs a lot of administration, and internal web systems keep it moving.
